This online classroom, developed in partnership with the Child Protection Sport Unit (CPSU) of the NSPCC, has been created specifically for coaches aged 16 to 18 years old.
The course is created by specialists in child welfare and is written and delivered with the safety of the young coach in mind throughout. It covers all the appropriate content to support younger coaches to recognise safeguarding and child protection best practice as an important part of your great coaching journey.

Gives an overview of how the current pandemic is impacting on young people’s mental health and wellbeing. We'll give tips and ways to start a conversation about mental health with young people and show some practical examples of how you might respond to common challenges of the moment. We will also look at what you might be able to keep an eye out for, even remotely, if a young person is struggling with their mental health and provide you with some safe and reliable places that you can signpost them too if further support or advice is needed.
