Herefordshire Summer School Games
The Summer School Games is a national programme, funded by Sport England through the National Lottery. The School Games is a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport. The School Games aims to put physical activity and competitive sport at the heart of schools and provide more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best.
The Herefordshire Summer School Games incorporates a mixture of competitive and participation events, alongside an Arena, where young people are able to experience new and exciting activities. Over 1500 children and young people will participate across 13 different sports and physical activities. Crucially, the event is supported by 160 young leaders who will gain valuable leadership skills.
We would like to express our gratitude to our participant sponsor, Hoople Group, for their continued support of the Herefordshire School Games.
Based in Herefordshire, Hoople Group support local communities with business services, ranging from training and recruitment, to payroll, finance and HR, to name a few. They provide high quality business support for schools and academies, among other industries. Hoople's trusted support enables educational settings to operate with excellence and efficiency, giving them the time to focus on what's really important. Following recent launch of the new 'Eco-friendly' School Games value and the Birmingham 2022 Sustainability Pledge, we have made some small but important changes to reduce our use of plastic and minimise waste at our annual events.
To help reduce print waste at the events, this summer we have adopted a digital programme. Download your copy below:
