Cycle Evesham Vale are very excited to introduce our programme for CycleFest 2016 to you - there's more to get involved with than ever before!
On Saturday, September 10th it kicks off with the Mountain biking challenge at The Valley. In the morning there are classes for U8's and up, with adults competing in the afternoon. The track has been specially extended since 2015, and new features added. While the competition goes on, there's lots to do off the track - make your own smoothie with pedal power courtesy of Green Ape. Or why not pick up some skills from the team from Savage Skills who'll be teaching some of their award winning mountain bike tricks to all comers.
On Sunday, the action moves to Evesham Rowing Club for an array of events for everyone from the most experienced cyclists to those just taking off the stabilisers!
Evesham Escapades Sportives - with a choice of 88 or 40 miles, these sportives will take you up some challenging climbs, and through the beautiful countryside of the Vale of Evesham. Fully supported with chip timing, medals, feedstops, and on course mechanical support make this a really special event.
For the youngest riders or older children not confident on the road yet (approx age 3-8), there will be:
Children's Rides along the riverside footpath, accompanied by a ride leader. They can then enjoy showing their ability round the skills area.
For adults, families, and those of all ages who enjoy a more gentle ride than the sportives there will be Leisure Rides taking in the views on a gentle 10 or 20 mile ride with a chance to stop for an ice cream or a cake. With the opportunity to ride with a Ride Leader, this is a perfect opportunity to challenge yourself to go a little further, or to take your children on the road for the first time.
Evesham Rowing Club will be open all day offering a hot breakfast and coffee first thing, followed by a BBQ and access to their bar later in the day!
