Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire are delighted to announce Free Radio as their official Radio Partner for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire School Games 2017!
The Herefordshire and Worcestershire School Games is part of a national School Games programme, offering a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire thousands of people to take part in competitive and participatory sport.
Over 1000 children and young people will compete, lead and volunteer at both the winter and summer School Games festivals. The School Games provide pupils from primary, middle, secondary, independent and special schools with the chance to take part in a variety of different sports from swimming to boccia.
As the many children and young people prepare for a day full of sporting contests, Free Radio will be playing a large role in the excitement of declaring the School Games as officially open. Presenters from the station will try their hand at a range of sporting challenges on offer throughout the day, sharing their thoughts and experiences across social media.
In a bid to inspire and raise the aspirations of young people participating in the Games, Free Radio will come face-to-face with elite, world-class Sporting Champions Sascha Kindred CBE and Annasley Park. They'll be finding out the answers to the questions on everybody's lips, from Rio records to success in the saddle.
