Herefordshire Summer School Games: Coronavirus Update

Due to the current UK Government recommendations, continued uncertainty around school closures and the unprecedented nature of the COVID-19 situation, we have taken the unfortunate decision of cancelling the Herefordshire Summer School Games events (County Level) until the end of the academic year 2019-20.

The health and safety of everyone involved in organising and taking part in School Games events is paramount and the decision has been taken with best interests in mind based on the most up to date information. This early decision will enable everyone involved in organising the event the opportunity to plan alternative School Games offerings.

An alternative Herefordshire Virtual School Games will be put in place between 29th June to 3rd July. This will include a programme of daily sports and activity challenges.

Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire and Stride Active will continue to provide you with further information and updates, however, if you have any questions related to the Herefordshire School Games then please contact:

  • Kieram Hallam – kieram@strideactive.org

Thank you for your understanding and please look out for updates and announcements in the coming weeks about future county events and your local School Games Organiser for events in your area.

Kinds Regard
