At Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire it is vital that we support organisations and people who deliver sport and physical activity across the two counties. We are therefore carrying out 2 separate research consultation projects:
- To understand how best to support organisations (for example sports clubs, community organisations, informal activity groups, instructor led groups)
- To understand how best to support coaches (across a range of delivery roles, for example instructor, leader, activator, champion, ambassador, as well as coach).
We understand that you may be a coach and perform another role with your organisation. We would be keen for you to be involved in both projects. We are also keen that other members and coaches in your organisation take part in the consultation and we would be grateful if you could forward this email onto them.
By way of thanks for your contribution and supporting this valuable research, Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire will enter all clubs and coaches that take part into a prize draw for equipment.
1 – Supporting organisations
The purpose of this consultation is to better understand the support that organisations want and need to improve sustainability and growth. We have commissioned Sarah Eyley, an independent consultant, to help us to complete this work by means of a survey and individual discussions, giving organisations the opportunity to share and discuss the support they need.
To get to be involved in this review, we would like to ask you to spend a few minutes completing this short survey (it will take only 5-10 minutes to complete).
This survey will close on Friday 2 April 2021.
2 – Supporting coaches
We are running a review with coaches across both counties, to better understand the support that coaches want and need. nimbol have been commissioned to complete the consultation through focus groups and telephone calls.
We are keen that you and/or the coaches in your organisation are involved in this review. The dates and times of our remote focus groups (using Zoom) are:
- Tues 30 March 2:00-3:00pm
- Weds 31 March 12:00-1:00pm
