We want to ensure that every young person who attends the School Games feels safe. The School Games Alliance has a duty of care to safeguard all children and young people involved with the School Games. All children have a right to protection, and the needs of disabled children and others who may be particularly vulnerable will be taken into account.
The Herefordshire and Worcestershire School Games Alliance will ensure the safety and protection of all children involved through adherence to the School Games Safeguarding Policy.
The primary responsibility for the supervision of young people participating in the School Games remains with the accompanying school staff representative. Schools must ensure they supervise young people at all times and adhere to staff to children ratios and in line with their own risk assessments.
